Can the business dev still work? maybe hang out at the clubhouse?

Answer: Absolutely! Much more than just hang out at the clubhouse. For example, there are charity events every week during Spring, Summer and Fall. They are attended by top decision-makers who are there for anywhere from 6 to 10 hours depending on the format of the event (pre-golf lunch, golf, awards dinner afterwards, for example). If you volunteer to help on event day you can meet and interact with people that it might take you weeks or months to get an appointment from. Plus, as an added benefit, because you are helping a charity they are supporting, you have achieved instant credibility and a shared bond in helping that charity. Now when you want to get a meeting with them to discuss business, it'll be a whole lot easier. This is one of the many tips you'll find in my book and workshop: "Use Golf To Make More Money: The ABC's of Business Golf" ~ A.J. It performs as well as the ProV1 and costs less. There are other reasons, just as important, such as the many ways the company is eco-friendly. The ball is fully recyclable, the packaging is recycled, the company has an active recycling program in place and they are constantly looking for ways to improve their processes and work environment to become better in tune with nature. The most visible statement they’ve made to date in terms of their workplace has earned them the very first ever Celebrity Greenlist “Green Thumbs Up Award.” Congratulations Dixon Golf! — A.J. The LEED-NC registered (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certified building is located in the heart of Tempe at 200 E. 5th Street.

The building boasts many eco-friendly features, such as natural ventilation, lights made from recycled traffic signal lights and a ventilated desert ‘green roof’ – similar to a roof garden to offset heat. The building is a flexible 100 year building, designed to accommodate many uses over time. A solar veil on the east side of the building provides shade to the large windows facing 5th Street. These features help reduce the energy consumption of the building by 52 percent compared to the same building without the advanced eco-friendly technology.

“Authenticity is of utmost importance to us. We want to be ‘green’ in every aspect of our business. That’s why we make the golf balls we do, why we run a paperless office and why our apparel is made from bamboo. This building closes the circle on making Dixon Golf the most eco-friendly golf company there is,” said Dixon Golf CEO, William Carey.

The building also serves as the hub for all of Tempe’s mass transit agencies. It functions as a light rail stop and the main hub for Tempe’s busses. Bustling Mill Ave. is two blocks to the west, providing food and entertainment options to the staff and visitors of the Transportation Center.

Dixon Golf’s third floor space will include offices, two conference rooms, a putting green and a golf simulator. Tiger is one of the most recognizable people on the planet and the tabloids and late-night talk show hosts and even most of us have had some fun with his predicament. But, at the end of the day, he's a man who has now come out and admitted his faults and has asked for forgiveness. Let's offer Tiger some grace, and give him and his family a chance to heal. Apology accepted, Tiger. My prayers are with you.

Dennis Haysbert On The Tee With A.J. Ali in April 2008 at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, California. This article first appeared in Statement Magazine. Haysbert has enjoyed great and growing success starring in hit shows such as “24” and “The Unit,” as well as appearing or starring in more than 25 films including “Heat,” “Breach,” “Far from Heaven” and many others. His image is on the small screen nonstop as the reassuring Allstate pitchman letting us know that we’re in good hands. By all accounts, Dennis Haysbert is a force to be reckoned with on the screen, and you’ll find, on the golf course.

Dennis and I enjoyed exquisite lunches of shrimp salad and sea bass in the posh dining room at El Caballero, where we ate light and talked heavy, jumping straight into topics such as the presidential race, the environment and foreign policy. Dennis as the strong, silent type? Hardly. It didn’t take long for me to be convinced that this guy literally knows something about everything. He’s an actor but you can’t fake intelligence or charisma. He’s the real deal. He’s the guy every man wants to be and every woman wants to be with. He’s the star that everyone respects and smiles at as he walks into the room, and he’s the gentleman that acknowledges everyone with a warm smile, a firm handshake and a personal comment. And, I found out on El Cab’s, beautiful Robert Trent Jones designed course, his golf swing is as grooved as the strong and steady roles he favors. Between shots, here’s what Dennis had to say:

A.J.

As the first Black (TV) President (as President David Palmer on the hit show ‘24’), what are your feelings about the dynamics of this election and what it means to this country?

Dennis

The dynamics that I see are that the country is getting a history lesson about the racial dynamics of this country and a lesson in tolerance and a lesson in the understanding of where we are as a nation. It couldn’t come at a better time. We’re about to get rid of one of the most irresponsible Presidents this country has ever had.

If you were president right now, what would you do in terms of our folks over there fighting this war?

Well, I’ve received information that you’re not going to want to hear. When we went to Kuwait, little do people know that those bases are permanent. Those boys are not coming home. I would do whatever I could to get them home. I’d exhaust everything in my power and make every effort. I believe those bases (in Iraq) are permanent and no matter what the candidates say, they’re never coming home.

McCain has stated that he wants to keep us in Iraq as long as it takes. Hillary Clinton flip flops. Obama says he wants to bring the troops home. Do you have any advice for Obama if he becomes president?

Just keep doing what he’s doing and whatever Senator Obama does right now is the best thing I think for this country. He is by far the best candidate for the office of the White House.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; Your sales team will build relationships, increase sales and raise money for community charities. And best of all, at the end of the day, it won’t cost your company one dime and it will give back to the community!

How do we do it? By using our proven Eclipse Partner Asset Leveraging (P.A.L.)™ model. The way it works is strikingly simple and takes five easy steps:

1. We help you to identify all the partner companies you provide benefits to throughout the year (partners, vendors, etc.).

2. We work with you to leverage those relationships to generate cash, prizes and in-kind services to enhance a golf event.

3. We invite principals of those partner companies to join you in making the golf day a memorable experience for your best customers, leading to more business for you AND your partners.

4. Our professional staff and vendor partners produce a world-class golf event at a world-class golf venue for your team, your partners and your clients. Even non-golfers are entertained during the tournament and included in pre- and post-golf activities. Non-golf activities can include spa treatments, shopping, fashion shows, wine tasting, tourism activities, our popular “ABC’s of Business Golf” workshop and many more options. Activities for non-golfers are seamlessly integrated so they start and end the day with the golfers. This is especially valuable if you choose to invite spouses of your key clients.

5. We perform all the wrap-up and follow-up functions to help you convert all those warm and fuzzy feelings into sales!

For your convenience, we offer three turn-key corporate hospitality golf packages, each one designed to provide a unique and memorable experience in a premier golf setting. That's an average of $150,000 a year. What could you do with $150,000 a year? $5 million is the amount of revenue Eclipse helped charities raise during that same time period. How would those numbers work for you in the next ten years? How would you like to earn great money working for yourself as a golf consultant? I’ll teach you how I did it and help you to achieve success as a golf consultant. If you follow my system you can be successful.

We are looking for entrepreneurs that want to excel personally and financially as consultants in the lucrative $65 billion golf industry. We are not looking for people that want a job working on a salary for someone else. Recently, we trained a mid-fifties semi-retired financial services sales and marketing professional, a former golf course superintendent, a professional poker player and a social worker who played college golf. We were also able to place all four of them into money-making opportunities with several companies each within their first month!

We train, coach and support people that want success as independent golf consultants. With our help, you have the freedom of being on your own, but you are not alone.

Our program is part professional school, part business opportunity and part executive coaching. As a golf consultant, you can earn anywhere from $5,000 to $35,000 for every golf event you run for nonprofits and corporations, and earn thousands more selling products and services. You can make great supplemental or full time income as a golf consultant! This is a rewarding and fun golf business school and business opportunity -- it is NOT a job so you can never be laid off. If you are an entrepreneur or wish to become one and want an opportunity in golf with no limits, this is for you! It is not multi-level. It is not "get rich quick." It's for serious business people that want to do serious business, call their own shots and live a great business golf lifestyle.

Whether it's for supplemental income or a full-time business effort, it's so important to have a business of your own right now, where you can determine your future. Instead of working for someone else and spending your life making someone else rich or worrying every week about getting laid off, invest in yourself and become an Eclipse Golf Consultant.

Sign up today, start earning tomorrow!

You can start making money right away when you sign up by following our correspondence training course. I recognize that there are certainly products, companies and industries that are viewed as more of a "necessity" than golf. However, the golf industry provides many jobs and importantly helps many charities raise money for terrific causes.

We are proud to be a part of the golf industry, and we think that the golf industry must continue to innovate and to be more relevant to golfers, corporations, and the many people that support this great sport. As a company (www.egolfscore.com), we respect the tradition of the game, while promoting the use of technology to create more fun, excitement, and practical enhancements to corporate and charity golf outings, as well as individual rounds of golf. We continue to strive to build a platform that can help golf courses, event/tournament coordinators, and golfers add value to the overall golfing experience.

So, keep the faith and work together to strengthen a terrific sport that truly benefits many, many great people!

Advertising Opportunities

Sponsored Post
SPOTS AVAILABLE:

Unlimited

We will write a 250–300 word post about your product or service and our experience with it. Eclipse also trains people to become golf event consultants. As a writer, I enjoy many styles. I write books, articles, screenplays, song lyrics and poetry. I've been published a few hundred times. I write an inspirational column called "On the Tee with A.J. Ali" which often includes my celebrity friends. I've written a personal development program with options including a life-changing devotional book, online coaching and a 3-day VIP Training Camp in Malibu and other exotic locales. I'll be giving my 45-minute inspirational True Champion's Challenge talk to more than 100 groups of people throughout the world in 2010. You can learn more at www.30DayChallengeBook.com. Make sure you read the book -- "The True Champion's 30-Day Challenge." It'll change your life in more ways than one -- you'll be blessed and you'll become a greater blessing to someone else! I've had my music played on the radio and was awarded a Hollywood FAME Award for National Community Service in 2007 for a song I wrote and a Tour that resulted from it helping cancer survivors. The song is called "Through the Darkness, Into the Light." As far as other work goes, I've started two pro soccer teams, a couple of PR and Marketing firms, built and sold a lawn and garden products company, had a few crash and burns and more than a few successes along the way. I served my country honorably for four years in the U.S. Air Force and played for the Air Force Soccer Team. Along the way, golf has always been a part of my life and my business life. Last but certainly not least, my wife Jane and I run a nonprofit called Marathon of Miracles. It's a Christian cancer outreach and wellness organization offering hope for the mind, body and spirit. We are doing wellness education, inspirational programs, benevolence and more. Part of the "more" is that we are going to establish wellness gardens in cities throughout the world and develop a wellness center in Malibu where best practices in wellness and cancer prevention can be developed, documented and shared with the world. Get in touch with me if you'd like to lead a fundraising effort to create a wellness garden in your town. Naturally, I'll want to play 36-holes of golf with you and several of your friends who raise money through pledges, like a walk-a-thon. We have a program called Swing for Survivors that gives participants incredible gifts for raising money and having fun with me on the golf course. That's enough about me. I'm going golfing.
